Originating from Bordeaux, France, Petit Verdot is a grape variety renowned for contributing to the region’s iconic red blends, providing rich color, structured tannins, and concentrated fruit flavors. While traditionally a blending component in countries like Argentina, Australia, Chile, Italy, Portugal, and the USA, it has found popularity in California and Washington.
In the crafting of our 2019 Petit Verdot, we chose to showcase the distinct characteristics of this grape by creating a single-varietal wine. To enhance its structure and complexity, a subtle touch of Petite Sirah was introduced to the blend. This meticulous approach allows enthusiasts to savor the unique attributes of Petit Verdot in a wine that stands out for its individuality and depth.
